General terms and conditions of the private limited company CityHub BV

1. Definitions and Interpretation

1.1 In these Terms and Conditions, unless the context otherwise requires, the following expressions have the following meanings:

“Customer”means a paying guest of CityHub;

“CityHub”means the CityHub location to which the reservation applies;

“Rates”means the prices payable for rooms and (where applicable) other facilities offered by CityHub;

“No Show” – means a guest not arriving at the hotel on the date of arrival of their reservation without prior notice to CityHub.

 

2. Bookings and Reservations

2.1 Customers may make reservations in advance through CityHub’s website.

2.2 When making reservations, Customers will be required to provide identification information including, but not limited to, their name, address, contact telephone number, nationality and email address.

2.3 All reservations must be paid in full at the time of booking;

2.4 Reservations booked in advance do not constitute a legally binding contract between CityHub and the Customer until CityHub confirms the reservation with the Customer and provides the Customer with a booking reference.

2.5 Reservations may be changed by the Customer at any time prior to arrival (subject to the cancellation provisions set out in Clause 4 below). CityHub will use all reasonable endeavours to accommodate any changes requested but gives no guarantee that all changes will be accommodated.

2.6 Reservations are not required. Customers may make bookings on arrival however CityHub cannot guarantee the availability of rooms or other facilities for such bookings.

2.7 Customers may request additional nights at CityHub at any time during their stay. CityHub will use all reasonable endeavours to accommodate such requests.

2.8 CityHub’s facilities are not suitable for big groups. CityHub does not accept reservations for groups of more than 10 persons. Even if separate reservations are made resulting in a group of more than 10 persons, CityHub holds the right to refuse such a group upon check-in.

 

3. Fees and Payment

3.1 Details of Rates including, where applicable, promotional Rates and other special offers are available from CityHub’s website.

3.2 Rates and prices quoted when making reservations apply only to accommodation unless otherwise stated. Additional charges may apply for items including, but not limited to, meals and drinks. These items are to be paid at check-out.

3.3 CityHub may from time to time offer promotional Rates. The following provision applies:

3.3.1 Additional nights requested under sub-Clause 2.7 above shall be charged at the standard Rate.

3.4 CityHub may offer non-refundable Rates. The following provisions apply:

3.4.1 Advance payments made under sub-Clause 3.4 above are non-refundable.

3.4.2 any deposits or booking fees taken at the time of reservation are non-refundable.

3.5 The following payment methods are accepted by CityHub:

3.5.1 Credit and Debit Cards – Visa, Mastercard, Maestro

3.5.2 We do not accept Cash at CityHub

4. Cancellations

4.1 Subject to sub-Clause 4.2 below, reservations may be cancelled without charge provided the Customer gives at least 24 Hours notice prior to the date of arrival of their reservation. Any sums paid in advance to CityHub shall be refunded to the Customer.

4.2 In the event that the Customer has paid in advance under the provisions of sub-Clause 3.4, no refunds shall be made in the event of cancellation.

4.3 Failure to provide the required notice of cancellation before 24 hours before the day of arrival shall result in the Customer being charged for one night’s accommodation at the Rate specified in their reservation.

4.4 In case of a No Show the Customer is charged for one night’s accommodation at the Rate specified in their reservation.

4.5 In case of a No Show your subsequent nights, if any, will be cancelled. So if you are delayed getting to us please inform us and we can try to amend your booking (subject to availability).

4.6 CityHub may, in an exception case, cancel a reservation. In the event of such cancellation, the Customer shall be informed immediately and shall be offered a full refund of any and all sums paid. Where a refund is offered under this sub-Clause 4.6 only, the provisions of sub-clauses 3.4 and 4.2 pertaining to advance payments shall not apply and a refund shall be payable.

 

5. Check-in and Check-out

5.1 Guest can check-in at CityHub from 3 pm.

5.2 CityHub features self check-in. Guest check-in on one of the check-in terminals with their check-in details. In case assistance is required, guest can contact the host.

5.3 Check-out time at CityHub is 12am. Failure to check-out by 12am may result in the Customer being charged for an additional night’s accommodation at the standard applicable Rate.

 

6. Hotel Rules

6.1 Customers are required to conduct themselves in a reasonable and responsible manner at all times when on CityHub’s property and must not act in any way which may disturb other guests. Failure to adhere to this requirement may result in a Customer being asked to leave CityHub in which event all sums due shall become immediately payable.

6.2 Smoking is not permitted in any indoor public areas of CityHub.

6.3 Smoking is not permitted in any rooms.

6.4 Failure to adhere to the requirements of sub-Clause 6.3 shall result in the Customer being charged for any and all costs incurred by CityHub in cleaning the room (including, but not limited to, fixtures, fittings and soft furnishings) and restoring it to a smoke-free environment.

6.5 No animals are allowed at CityHub.

6.6 Children under the age of 16 may not stay at CityHub.

6.7 Customers shall be charged for any and all damage caused by them to CityHub’s property during their stay.

 

7. Food and Drink

7.1 Unless expressly indicated otherwise, food and drinks are not included in any Rates and will be charged for in accordance with sub-Clause 3.2 above.

 

8. Limitation of Liability

8.1 To the fullest extent permissible by law, CityHub’s liability for any loss or damage suffered by Customers shall be limited to that which arises out of the negligence of CityHub’s employees, subcontractors or agents.

8.2 Notwithstanding sub-Clause 9.1 above, CityHub shall not be liable for any indirect loss or damage which may be suffered by a Customer including, but not limited to, loss of income, loss of business, loss of profits, loss of opportunity, loss of anticipated savings, loss of data or loss of enjoyment.

 

9. General

CityHub may, from time to time, change these Terms and Conditions without notice, however it will use its reasonable endeavours to inform Customers as soon as is reasonably possible of any such changes.

 

10. Data Protection

The Hostel will not share Customers’ personal data with any third parties for any reasons without the prior consent of the Customer concerned.

 

11. Law and Jurisdiction

11.1 These Terms and Conditions (including any non-contractual matters and obligations arising therefrom or associated therewith) shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the Dutch law.

11.2 Any dispute, controversy, proceedings or claim between the Parties relating to these Terms and Conditions (including any non-contractual matters and obligations arising therefrom or associated therewith) shall fall within the jurisdiction of the courts of The Netherlands.

 

Privacy Statement

Data Storage and Processing

CityHub records personal information in order to be able to provide certain services, e.g. guest accommodation, information requests, price enquiries, etc.

These details may also be used to provide targeted information and special offers about our products and services, or to ask you your opinion about our products and services. Details may be used for the aforementioned purposes by CityHub itself or by third parties acting on its behalf.

If you do not wish to receive items of special interest or special offers, then please let us know by sending us an e mail at info@cityhub.com.

Information Inspection, Amendment or Deletion

You are entitled to ask us to inform you as to whether, which and how personal details have been processed. On receipt of your request, we shall correct, supplement, delete or shield your details, e.g. in the event that they are factually incorrect. Deletion may result in your no longer being able to use a part or all of our services.

Amendments

CityHub reserves the right to make amendments to its privacy statement. We recommend that you regularly check this privacy statement for any potential updates.
