Find your way to CityHub

Directions

Address: Hverfisgata 46, 101 Reykjavík, Iceland

Getting to CityHub from Keflavik International Airport (KEF)

Take a bus

Flybus (Operated by Reykjavík Excursions) or Airport Direct

Flybus and Airport Direct offer regular transfers between Keflavík Airport and Reykjavík, with departures scheduled 35 to 45 minutes after each flight arrival. Their buses are located right in front of the airport. The journey to the BSÍ Bus Terminal in Reykjavík takes approximately 45 minutes. From there, it will take you around 20 minutes to walk to CityHub.

You can also get a Flybus+ ticket and select a drop-off at a Bus Stop 6 (The Culture House), which is the closest one to CityHub. The Flybus+ ticket costs approximately 5000 ISK per adult. If you choose a drop-off location near CityHub, you will be switching to a smaller mini-bus/shuttle at the BSÍ Bus Terminal because big buses are not allowed in the area.

Public bus

For a budget-friendly option, you can hop on a public bus, Strætó Route 55. To make your journey smoother, consider using the Klappið app to plan your trip and purchase your bus ticket (prices start from 2400 ISK to reach BSÍ Bus Terminal). Keep in mind that the travel time can be up to 2 hours before you reach the hotel.

Get a taxi

You can take a taxi to the hotel, which typically takes around 45-50 minutes. Taxis are available at the arrival terminal, but be aware that the fare will be at least 19000 ISK.

Rent a car

If you have a valid driving license, renting a car is a great option for getting around Iceland. It’s by far the cheapest and most convenient way to travel. You can pick up a rental car right at the Keflavik airport from companies like Hertz. Arrange it beforehand or when you arrive.

Parking

Parking in the city centre can be a bit tricky, but there are a few options to make it easier. The Parka app is really useful – you can see all the different paid parking zones, pay for street parking directly through the app, and check prices. On our street there’s the P2 zone which is paid parking from 9am-9pm on weekdays and 10am-9pm on weekends. Nearby there’s the P3 zone which is a bit cheaper for long-term parking and only paid on weekdays 9am-6pm.
